About Me

Jaimi Grether is a professional violinist and wedding violinist based in Raleigh, North Carolina, performing live music for weddings, private events, and corporate celebrations throughout Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding Triangle area.

She began playing the violin at the age of nine after her mother won tickets to a Dayton Philharmonic children’s concert. She remembers being completely captivated by the feeling of being immersed in the music and knew at that moment she wanted to become a violinist. She asked to play her grandfather’s violin and pinned the concert program to her wall as motivation to practice and grow.

Jaimi studied privately for many years and attended summer music programs before continuing her studies at Miami University. After college, she briefly worked as a Registered Nurse, but within a year returned fully to music, studying with Brian Reagin and rebuilding her performance career.

Today, Jaimi works as a live event violinist specializing in luxury weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations, while also performing regularly with ensembles such as the North Carolina Symphony, North Carolina Opera, Carolina Philharmonic, Tar River Orchestra, and other professional groups across the region.

For Jaimi, playing the violin is more than performance; it is storytelling, emotion, and connection woven through sound, creating unforgettable moments for every event she performs.
